Tuition Reimbursement Services
Tuition Reimbursement Services for Non-Sponsored Courses are available to clients who are currently teaching under a Lateral Entry or Provisional license and need courses to clear their license. For Summer 2009, clients will be limited to one course for tuition reimbursement under this service.
The Non-Sponsored Course Tuition Reimbursement Service is based on the availability of funding, therefore, actual reimbursement may be less than, but no more than $350 per three-hour course.
The course must be listed on the Plan of Study received from a college or university, the Regional Alternative Licensing Center (RALC), or NC Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
Tuition reimbursement is available under the following circumstances for MTEC clients who are unable to access a course they need in a given semester or summer session:
-
a similar university level MTEC-sponsored course is not offered that semester,
-
an equivalent College Transfer course is not available through an MTEC partner community college, or
-
the course is offered as either an MTEC-sponsored course or College Transfer – Community College courses, but at a school that is more than 40 miles from the client’s home or workplace
Only after you can demonstrate that you have eliminated these MTEC service options, will you be eligible for tuition reimbursement.
