Praxis II One-day Seminars
Passing scores on Praxis II tests are required for certification in many licensure areas. MTEC offers Praxis II test preparation through interactive subject-specific seminars. During the seminar, participants will review content and applicable instructional methods. Participants will take mock tests with question-types and concepts relevant to their subject area test(s).
Criteria for Participation: Spring seminars are for candidates who are registered for the June or July Praxis II test. Documentation that you are registered for the test (i.e. ticket or receipt with test date) must be included in your application package. During test registration, you should enter score recipient code 5460 to indicate that MTEC will be one of your free score recipients. MTEC seminars are for initial, lateral entry or provisional licensure candidates who can document coursework background in the seminar/test area.
Registration fee: $60 copay for employees of MTEC partnering school systems. Participants must be lateral entry or provisionally licensed teachers or paraprofessionals who are working on a teacher education degree. Priority will be given to these applicants.
$90 registration fee for candidates not employed by a partnering school system.
The non-refundable registration fee will assist toward lunch, instructional materials and other program expenses.
Deadline for registration: On line application, mail-in payment and documents must be received two weeks prior to the seminar date.
