Teacher
I am a licensed teacher. I am not certified in the current area in which I am teaching.
My purpose for taking this course is to clear my PROVISIONAL LICENSURE STATUS.
What do I do now?
- Know the licensure area you must pursue to clear your provisional status. (licensure areas).
- Decide if you want to have your transcripts evaluated by the Regional Alternative Licensing Center and/or by a partnering university.
- Obtain a Plan of Study (more info) from the Regional Alternative Licensing Center or from the partnering university that evaluated your transcripts.
- Now, you are ready to register for courses.
Option One: Take courses at a partnering community collegeCheck your Plan of Study to determine if there are courses you can take to satisfy competency requirements to clear your provisional status. You will pay $60 for a course and NCMTEC will pay for your textbooks. To register for a community college course,
