Paraprofessional
I am a paraprofessional. I do have a four-year degree.
My purpose for taking courses is to obtain my INITIAL LICENSE in teacher education. What do I do now?
- Choose the licensure area in which you would like to obtain your initial teacher education
license. (licensure areas).
- Decide if you want to have your transcripts evaluated by the Regional Alternative Licensing Center and/or by a partnering university.
- Obtain a Plan of Study (more info) from the Regional Alternative Licensing Center or from the partnering university that evaluated your transcripts.
- Now, you are ready to register for courses.
Option One: Take courses at a partnering community collegeDetermine the basic college transfer courses you need based on your plan of study. You will pay $60 for a course and NCMTEC will pay for your textbooks. To register for a community college course,
